How Long Does It Take to Get Replacement Number Plates Delivered?

Car Plates Pro dispatches replacement number plates the same day for orders placed before 2PM, with next working day delivery to 98% of UK addresses via Royal Mail Tracked 24. In most cases, if you order before 2PM today, your plates will arrive tomorrow morning. This guide explains the full delivery timeline, what happens after you order, and what to do if your plates are needed urgently.

How long does delivery take?

The standard delivery timeline from Car Plates Pro is:

• Order before 2PM on a working day — dispatched same day, delivered next working day to 98% of UK addresses
• Order after 2PM on a working day — dispatched the following working day, delivered the working day after that
• Order at weekends or on bank holidays — dispatched on the next working day, delivered the working day after dispatch

Delivery is via Royal Mail Tracked 24. You will receive a tracking number by email once your plates are dispatched so you can follow the parcel.

What is the fastest way to get replacement number plates?

Order before 2PM on any working day. That is the cut-off for same-day dispatch. Plates ordered by 2PM on a Monday are typically on the doorstep Tuesday morning. Use the number plate builder to place your order now.

Are there any delays in the production process?

No. Car Plates Pro manufactures plates in-house, which means there is no third-party production delay. Once your order is placed and identity verification is completed at checkout, the plate goes straight into production. All four plate styles — Standard, 3D Gel, 4D Laser-Cut, and 4D Gel — are dispatched within the same timeline.

What if my plates do not arrive?

All deliveries are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24. If your plates have not arrived within two working days of the expected delivery date, check your tracking number first. If there is no update, contact Car Plates Pro directly at carplatespro.uk@gmail.com or through the contact page.

Can I get plates delivered to a different address?

Yes. You can specify a delivery address at checkout that differs from your registered address. This is useful if you want plates delivered to a garage, workplace, or any other address in the UK.

What if I need plates urgently and it is after 2PM?

If you have missed the 2PM cut-off, your plates will still be dispatched first thing the following working day and delivered the day after. If your need is critical, some local number plate suppliers offer same-day walk-in service, though online suppliers typically offer better pricing and a wider range of styles.

How much do replacement plates cost?
